An exciting opening round of 2019 Caf Confederations Cup group stage action came to an end on Sunday evening with NA Hussein beating Petro de Luanda 2-1 in Algiers.
The day started with thrilling 4-2 win for Kenyan champions Gor Mahia over Egyptian giants Zamalek in Nairobi.
Gor Mahia captain Jacques Tuyisenge registered two goals and an assist in a memorable win over the White Knights. Ibrahim Hassan bagged a brace in vain for the five-time Caf Champions League champions.
There were also wins for Enugu Rangers, Al-Hilal Omdurman and ZESCO United who beat Zambian counterparts Nkana 2-0 in Ndola.
Elsewhere, defending CAFCC champions Raja Casablanca were held to a 1-1 draw away to Moroccan rivals Hassania Agadir in what was Patrice Carteron's first game in charge of the Green Eagles.
In an all Tunisian tie, CS Sfaxien beat rivals and fellow four-time CAFCC champions Etoile du Sahel 1-0 in Sousse.
