Fowler lavishes Salah with praise

Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler has showered Mohamed Salah with praise.

The Egypt international, who this season became the club's fastest player to 50 goals, has continued to impress Fowler in what is now his second season at Anfield.

Sahal, 26, has scored 19 goals in 33 appearances for Liverpool this season as they battle Manchester City for English Premier League honours.

“His record’s brilliant, it really is,” Fowler told Liverpool's official website.

“When you watch him play you just know that you’re more or less guaranteed to get chances and obviously if he keeps getting chances he’s going to continue to score goals.

“So him getting to 50 Premier League goals, I think he was quicker than anyone in Liverpool’s history - and that in itself, when you think of the quality of the strikers and players we’ve had at the club, is incredible," Fowler concluded.

Next up for Liverpool is a home showdown against Bournemouth on Saturday. Salah scored a hat-trick in a 4-0 win for the Reds in the reverse fixture at the Vitality Stadium earlier this season.
