Salitas and Etoile du Sahel will both be looking to bounce back from defeat when they meet for a CAF Confederation Cup Group B match at Stade du 4 Aout in Ouagadougou on Wednesday afternoon, kick-off at 15h00 CAT.

Burkina Faso’s Salitas opened their group phase campaign with a 2-0 loss away to Nigeria’s Enugu Rangers on February 3, with Godwin Aguda and Issac Loute scoring for the Flying Antelopes.

On the same day Etoile du Sahel, who are four-time winners of this continental competition, fell to a 1-0 defeat at home to fellow Tunisians CS Sfaxien – Aymen Harzi’s early goal was all that separated the teams in their derby clash.

The results means Rangers and Sfaxien have an early lead on the log, while Salitas and Etoile cannot afford another early defeat in the race for two berths in the knockout rounds.

Salitas come into the match on the back of a 1-1 draw at home to Douanes in a Burkina Faso domestic championship match on Saturday, while Etoile lost a second straight home match 1-0 when they succumbed to Raja Casablanca on Friday in an Arab Club Champions Cup match.

The other Group B match between Sfaxien and Rangers will kick-off at 21h00 CAT at the Stade Taieb Mhiri.

Burundian referee Georges Gatogato will take charge of the match in Ouagadougou.
