RS Berkane and Hassania Agadir are geared for a Moroccan derby when they meet in their second Group A match in the CAF Confederation Cup.

The clash is set for the Stade Municipal de Berkane on Wednesday night, kick-off at 21h00 CAT.

Berkane opened their group phase campaign with a 1-1 draw away to Congo’s AS Otoho earlier this month, with Mohamed Aziz scoring a late equaliser to cancel out Cabwey Kivituka’s opener for the hosts.

Agadir also played to a 1-1 draw, with their opener at home to yet another Moroccan side, defending Confederation Cup champions Raja Casablanca.

The Green Eagles led through Mouhcine Iajour, but Ghazelle de Sousse struck back through Mehdi Oubila to level the game.

Matchday 1 therefore left all four teams level on one point apiece, meaning it’s all to play for on Wednesday as the clubs look to stake an early claim for a place in the quarterfinals.

Both teams were in domestic action in the Moroccan top flight last week, with RSB defeating Moghreb Tetouan 2-0 at home on Friday, while Agadir were held 1-1 at home by Youssoufia Berrechid to extend their winless run across all competitions to four matches.

Angola referee Helder Martins de Carvalho will handle the match in Berkane. The other Group A game will see Raja host Otoho at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat, with kick-off at 18h00 CAT.
