Egyptian club Ismaily SC have been reinstated back into the 2018-19 Caf Champions League following a successful appeal application.

Ismaily were disqualified from this season's tournament with immediate effect after crowd trouble halted their 2-1 defeat at home to Tunisia's Club Africain last month.

The match in Ismailia was called off in stoppage time after sections of the crowd threw water bottles and stones at the assistant referee and Africain players. Duly resulting in immediate action from Africa's governing body.

Ismaily lawyer Nasser Azam conformed over the past weekend that the club's appeal had been accepted by CAF, stating at the time: "Today we - the Ismaily delegation - were in a hearing and Caf accepted the club's appeal so we are now back in the African Champions League."
