FC Platinum stumbled to a third successive Group B Caf Champions League defeat, losing 2-0 away to Horoya at Stade du 28 Septembre in Conakry on Tuesday.

Defeat leaves the Zimbabwean champions at the foot of the group while victory propels Horoya up to second place, two points clear of Orlando Pirates and just a point behind defending champions Esperance de Tunis after four rounds of fixtures.

Following a goalless opening half, Horoya hit the front through Ocansey Mandela in the 58th minute. Yakubu Hudu teed up the Ghanaian forward who made no mistake to fire the hosts into the lead.

The Guinean giants duly doubled their lead in the 78th minute as provider turned scorer. Sebe Baffour set up Yakubu who sealed all three points for the home side.

Next up for FC platinum is a tough trip away to the Buccaneers in South Africa next month. Horoya travel to Esperance on matchday five for a crunch clash in Rades.
