Enugu Rangers goalkeeper Nana Bonsu has expressed his belief that the Nigerian team will cope well with the challenge of playing away in Tunisia.
Rangers will face CS Sfaxien at the Stade Taieb Mhiri tonight in their second Group B match in the CAF Confederation Cup.
The Flying Antelopes come into the clash tied with Sfaxien at the top of the pool, with the Nigerians winning 2-0 at home to Burkina Faso’s Salitas earlier this month, while the Juventus of the Arabs beat compatriots Etoile du Sahel 1-0 in Sousse.
Rangers’ clash against Sfaxien will be the first of back-to-back clashes in North Africa, as they return to Tunisia on February 24 to face ESS.
''In football, everything is possible for Rangers despite the fact that we have two strong Tunisian clubs with CS Sfaxien and Etoile du Sahel in our group,'' Ghanaian goalkeeper Bonsu told CAF’s official website.
''We are going to play football and that is the most important thing. Yes, the group looks difficult but nothing is impossible in football.
''It's when we go for away matches that we are going to have big pressure to deal with; we shall do our best to ensure we qualify from the group.”
The other Group B match today sees Salitas host Etoile in Ouagadougou.
