Salitas and Etoile du Sahel played to a 0-0 draw in their CAF Confederation Cup Group B Match at the Stade du 4 Aout in Ouagadougou on Wednesday evening.
The result saw both the Burkina Faso hosts and the Tunisian visitors remain level on one point apiece at the bottom of the standings.
Salitas enjoyed most of the possession through the first half, with Etoile happy to sit back and try hit their hosts on the break.
Chances were few and far between, with neither Daouda Diakite nor Makram Bdiri called into any notable saves. The half ended goalless, with the home crowd frustrated at their side’s inability to pierce the defence.
The Burkina Faso team looked to boost their attack in the second half, introducing the likes of Ismael Karambiri and Arnauld Bambara, yet Bdiri was rarely threatened.
In fact, Diakite was the busier of the two goalkeepers, doing well to keep out efforts from Youssef Msakni and Darwin Gonzalez.
The game ended in a 0-0 draw, meaning both the Burkinabe and Tunisian club remain winless in the group stage thus far.
The teams will return to Confederation Cup action on February 24, with Salitas away to CS Sfaxien and Etoile at home to Enugu Rangers.
