Manchester City easily progressed into the next round of the FA Cup with a 4-1 win over Newport.
It was an impressive second half display from the Citizens at the Newport Stadium on Saturday after a goalless first half.
Leroy Sane opened up the scoring for City six minutes into the second stanza before Phil Foden doubled their lead in the 75th minute.
Newport managed to pull a goal back in the 88th minute courtesy of a strike from Padraig Amond which looked to set up an exciting finish, but City were having none of it with Foden scoring his second a minute later to restore their two-goal lead.
The icing on the cake for the English Premier League side was Mahrez’s goal in the fourth minute of injury time to make it 4-1.
