Kevin-Prince Boateng has become the latest professional footballer to have his house robbed whilst being on the field of play.

The 31-year-old, who started Barcelona's LaLiga win over Real Valladolid on Saturday evening, returned home to find that his house had been burgled with the thieves making way with a reported 300,000 - 400,000 euros worth of jewellery and money.

Boateng is not the first Barcelona player to have his house targeted by robbers with Jordi Alba's house having been ransacked during a match against Inter Milan earlier this season.

In France, Paris Saint-Germain skipper Thiago Silva suffered a similar fate while striker Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting also had his apartment broken into by criminals while playing a match.

Boateng joined Barcelona on-loan from Italian club Sassuolo last month. He has featured just two times since joining the Catalan giants.

Saturday was the Ghana international's 400th professional club appearance.
