CS Sfaxien will target a home victory when they welcome Salitas to the Stade Taieb Mhiri for a CAF Confederation Cup Group B match on Sunday, kick-off at 18h00 CAT.

Sfaxien have enjoyed a strong start to the group phase, claiming four points from two matches, but they will be disappointed with their previous result: a 1-1 draw at home to Nigeria’s Enugu Rangers on February 13.

The three-time Confederation Cup champions led the game through Alaeddine Marzouki, but conceded an equaliser to Rangers’ Pape Ousmane Sane.

Salitas of Burkina Faso come into the game placed at the bottom of the log with just one point – they put that on the board on February 13 by holding Etoile du Sahel 0-0 in Ouagadougou.

They now face probably their toughest test of the pool in playing away to another Tunisian giant, with the ‘Juventus of the Arabs’ regarded as one of the favourites to win the continental competition.

Sfaxien coach Ruud Krol will hope to see greater efficiency in attack from his young team this time around, though they should beware the physicality and athleticism of Salitas.

This will be the first of a double-header between the teams, with the return game set for the Stade du 4 Aout in Ouagadougou on March 3.

The other Group B match sees Etoile du Sahel host Enugu Rangers at the Olympic Stadium in Sousse later in the evening, kick-off at 21h00 CAT.
