Al Ahly coach Martin Lasarte says he is not happy with how the Egyptian Premier League schedule is assembled.
The Red Devils moved into third place on the Egyptian Premier League table after beating El Dakhleya 3-1 in midweek.
Al Ahly, who are the defending champions, are now seven points behind log leaders, Zamalek, but the former have a game in hand.
Swiss tactician admitted that he can’t ask his players to give more.
“Pyramids’ loss and Zamalek’s draw caused some pressure on the team but we had to only think about our game," Lasarte said on King Fut.
"The path is still long, we have a lot to do and we should continue like that.
“I am satisfied with the players’ performance. We play a lot of games every four days, I don’t recall dealing with a league schedule like that one," he added.
"Nothing more than the victory can be requested from the players, asking for more would be unfair.”
“I am content with the January signings and the new deals signed.”
