Chippa United continued their revival under Clinton Larsen with a hard fought 1-1 draw against Golden Arrows in an Absa Premiership clash at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth on Friday.

The result moves the Chilli Boys up to 12th place on the log standings. Arrows remain in 10th, nine points clear of the relegation zone.

Knox Mutizwa fired the visitors ahead in the 22nd minute of the clash following a great bit of determination from fellow Zimbabwean, Divine Lunga.

The man-of-the-match showed great skill to keep the ball in play, shrug off Zitha Macheke and duly tee up the forward who hammered home for his fourth goal in six matches.

Chippa United restored parity in the 70th minute of the match as Lerato Manzini struck home his first goal of the season. Having hit the woodwork just seven points prior through Ruzaigh Gamildien, the hosts persistence paid off as they found the leveller.

Abafana Bes'thende squandered a late chance to grab all three points as Mutizwa nodded over from close range, as the two teams ultimately settled for a share of the spoils.
