Zamalek will be expected to ignite their Caf Confederations Cup campaign when they host Petro de Luanda in a Group D encounter at Borg El Arab Stadium in Alexandria on Sunday evening.

Kick-off is at 21h00 CAT.

The Egyptians currently sit at the bottom of the group heading into the third round of group stage fixtures and will be under pressure to register a win in front one their adoring fans this weekend.

Zamalek followed a surprise 4-2 defeat away to Kenyan champions Gor Mahia with a disappointing 1-1 draw at home tho NA Hussein Dey last time out.

Khalid Boutaib's goal looked set to lead the White Knights to victory on home soil, but the visitors levelled the game late on through Faouzi Yaya.

Petro suffered a 2-1 defeat away to NA Hussein Dey in Algeria on matchday one before beating Gor Mahia by the same scoreline in Luanda last time out. Goals from Manguxi and Toni sealing all three points for Os Tricolores in Angola.

Despite their continental troubles, the White Knights have amassed a four game unbeaten run since defeat in Kenya and currently lead the Egyptian Premier League standings by seven points.

Petro are unbeaten in three games and currently occupy second spot in Angola's top division.

Gor Maria will play host to NA Hussein Dey in Nairobi, in the other Group D fixture.
