Cape Town City head coach Benni McCarthy wants his team to use Leicester City's run to the 2015-16 English Premier League title as inspiration as they prepare for a pivotal few days in their pursuit of a first Absa Premiership crown.
The Citizens take on the defending league champions Mamelodi Sundowns in Tshwane on Wednesday evening before making the short trip to Johannesburg on Saturday, for a clash against current log leaders Bidvest Wits.
City will then play host to the Brazilians in the Mother City next Tuesday.
McCarthy will take confidence from the fact that CTCFC won both of their two previous trips to Loftus Versfeld Stadium.
“We taking it one game at a time, next we face Mamelodi Sundowns. What makes me happy is that we are playing them at Loftus. Let’s see what happens there,” said McCarthy.
“We know we are still a little bit out of our depth, but listen, no one told Leicester City that they were out of their depth.
“They just believed and kept on rolling game by game, you try and win every possible game that you can and you never know what might happen at the top," he concluded.
