Enyimba legend Victor Ezeji has been impressed by five Nigerian players in CAF tournaments.

Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) clubs Lobi Stars and Enugu Rangers are competing in the Champions League and Confederation Cup respectively.

Ezeji, who won the 2003 CAF Champions League title with NPFL giants Enyimba, says Rangers trio Godwin Aguda, Bright Silas and Ajani Ibrahim have caught his eye.

"From Rangers, Godwin Aguda, Bright Silas and their entire backline especially Ajani Ibrahim have done well," Ezeji said on the CAF website.

"On the part of Lobi Stars, they have blended experienced players with youths.

Ezeji, who is currently serving as an ambassador for the NPFL, has also been impressed by Lobi duo David Tyavkase and Cletus Itodo.

"And imagine the presence of David Tyavkase who was my teammate when we won the CAF Champions League trophy with Enyimba in 2003," he added.

"They also have an experienced player in Cletus Itodo and others that would naturally guide the younger players in the squad."
