According to reports, Uganda Cranes captain Denis Onyango will retire from international football following the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
The 33-year-old last month singed a new four-and-a-half year deal with Mamelodi Sundowns and is reportedly keen on focussing his full intention on club level, at the start of next season.
Onyango played a key role in helping Uganda qualify for the upcoming showpiece, keeping five clean sheets in five AFCON qualifiers as the East African nation booked their place at successive tournaments.
Sundowns head coach Pitso Mosimane has since revealed that he has heard rumours that Onyango, who has been capped 67 times by Uganda, is considering hanging up his gloves at national level.
"I heard a little bit from the other keepers that probably the [2019 Africa] Cup of Nations would be his last," Mosimane is quoted as saying.
The shot-stopper is currently nursing an injury that forced him out of successive league matches against Cape Town City and Bloemfontein Celtic.
