Nigeria have named a 23-man squad for their matches later this month against the Seychelles and Egypt.
The Super Eagles will tackle the island minnows on March 23 in their final 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier before taking on Egypt four days later. Both matches will be held at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba.
Gernot Rohr’s selection includes three goalkeepers, eight defenders, four midfielders and eight forwards.
There is a first time call-up for FC Midtjylland striker Paul Onuachu, as well as Valentine Ozornwafor (Enyimba), a key man for the Flying Eagles at the recent U-20 Africa Cup of Nations.
Super Eagles skipper John Obi Mikel, Leicester City's Kelechi Iheanacho, Watford's Isaac Success and Porto star Mikel Agu have been left out of the team, but presumably remain a part of Rohr’s plans for the AFCON.
