Burundi international Saido Berahino has pleaded not guilty to a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol.
The 25-year-old swore at reports on his arrival at court today. Berahino was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving in London last month after telling Stoke City that he was too ill to train.
Berahino has struggled for form since his move to Stoke City in January last year.
He has scored just five goals in 56 games across all competitions fort the Potters since joining the club from West Bromwich Albion.
Berahino rose to prominence with the Baggies, and after a proposed move to Tottenham Hotspur among others fell through, he eventually joined Stoke City for a reported fee of £12 million.
The forward has scored one goals in four games for Burundi.
