Eleazer Rodgers scored an 83rd minute equaliser for Free State Stars in a 1-1 Absa Premiership draw against Polokwane City at Goble Park Stadium in Bethlehem on Wednesday evening.
The point moves Ea Lla Koto up to 14th place and out of the relegation zone, condemning Chippa United to the playoff spot ahead of this weekend's round of fixtures. The point is enough to move Rise and Shine above Kaizer Chiefs and up to sixth spot.
Stars dominated the first-half in the Free State province and were unlucky not to be a goal up before the break as Rooi Mahamutsa watched his shot from an acute angle canon off the woodwork.
The hosts were made to rue their missed chances in the 62nd minute as Mohammed Anas fired the visitors in front with his third goal in two games.
Ea Lla Koto, though, were able to conjure a point as Rodgers nodded home an 83rd minute equaliser.
The forward coming to Stars rescue for the second time in five days after netting a late leveller just days before, against Black Leopards.
