Botswana Football Association (BFA) has revealed that captain Simisane Mathumo and his team-mate Mosha Gaololwe are both suspended.
The two defenders are set to miss the Zebras last 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against Angola in Francistown on Friday, the 22nd of March 2019.
"The duo picked up yellow cards in the last Zebras outing against Mauritania. Hence due to cumulative cards, they will be suspended for the clash against Angola."
"Zebras Caretaker coach Mogomotsi Mpote says this will be a big blow for him not to have the defensive pair, but highlighted that it is an opportunity for younger players to stake a claim in the team as they will be considered for the game."
"Mathumo, on the other hand, was devastated that he will not lead the team in the final game of the campaign, but he said the positive was that the selected players will use the game to prepare for the upcoming Chan games."
"Mpote is set to announce his squad to face Angola on the Wednesday 13th March 2019 with the Zebras reporting for camp on Sunday 17th March 2019 to start preparing for the game," a statement read.
