Club Africain recorded a 1-0 victory over Ismaily in the 2018/19 CAF Champions League Group C match at the Stade Olympique de Radès on Saturday afternoon.
However, Tunisian giants Africain failed to advance to the quarter-finals after finishing third in the group, while Egyptian side Ismaily also crashed out of the tournament after finishing fourth.
Africain came into the match looking to complete a double over Ismaily, having defeated their North African rivals 3-0 in Egypt in match-day two.
However, Ismaily were able to contain the hosts in the first-half, with Ghanaian defender Richard Baffour marshalling the visitors' defence.
The two teams were locked at 0-0 at the interval.
The visitors decided to make a change at the beginning of the second-half - introducing offensive-minded Namibian player Benson Shilongo.
However, Africain continued to attack and they were awarded a penalty with 14 minutes left on the clock.
Tunisia international Ghazi Ayadi made no mistake from the spot-kick as he fired past Ismaily goalkeeper Tarek Taha to make it 1-0 to Africain.
Ismaily launched late attacks as they looked to grab a late equalizing goal, but Africain stood firm at the back and ultimately they emerged 1-0 winners over Ismaily.
