Hassania Agadir beat Moroccan rivals RS Berkane 1-0 at Stade Adrar in Agadir on Sunday afternoon to confirm their place in the knockout stages of the 2019 Caf Confederations Cup.
The result moved HUSA up to second in Group A, three points behind Berkane who had already sealed their spot in the quarter-finals as group winners last weekend.
Defending champions Raja Casablanca duly bow out of the competition despite their emphatic 4-1 win over Congolese club AS Otôho at the same time. The Green Eagles first win of the group stage campaign proving too little too late.
HUSA opened the scoring in the 26th minute of the match through Youssef Alfahli who latched onto a pass from Mehdi Oubilla.
The goal proved decisive in a match in which the Oranges failed to register a single shot on target. Nonetheless, Berkane advance having accumulated 11 points from six group matches, three more than second placed HUSA.
