As if ending your country's 39 year wait for Africa Cup of Nations qualification isn't enough, Tanzania president John Magufuli announced that the triumphant squad would each be gifted with parcels of land for their achievement.
The Taifa Stars booked their ticket to Egypt with a 3-0 thumping of East African rivals Uganda this past weekend, to duly end their almost four decade wait for a return to Africa's biggest stage.
"I am very happy for the honour you've brought to our nation," President Magufuli said in Dar es Salaam as quoted by AFP.
"For the good work you have done to bring honour to Tanzania by qualifying for AFCON finals in Egypt, each player will get a parcel of land in Dodoma (the administrative capital).
"I believe our players can put up a better show in Cairo, and go one place better by winning the title," he concluded.
Tanzania are coached by former Nigeria international Emmanuel Amunike, who took over the reins in August last year.
