Mohamed Salah praised Liverpool's 'big team' mentality following their last-gasp win over Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.
Toby Alderweireld could only succeed in guiding the Egypt International's attempt past his own goalkeeper as the Reds claimed another late win at Anfield.
Victory moved Jurgen Klopp's men back to the top of the English Premier League standings, two points clear of Manchester City who are back in action on Wednesday evening.
“They [the fans] just really want to win the Premier League and we’ll do everything to make that happen," Salah told Sky Sports News in the aftermath. "They help us a lot during the game, the atmosphere and they push you hard to create chances and play better.
“Big teams always find a way to get the points. Maybe in the second half we didn’t play at the top of our game but we won the game and that’s the most important thing. That’s a big team – you always have to find a way to win and that’s what we did.”
“I didn’t score for a couple of games, OK. I just play and I want to win the Premier League, that’s the most important thing for me.”
Liverpool's next game is away to Southampton on Friday evening and the 26-year-old knows that at this stage of the season, Liverpool need to win every game if they are to dethrone the current league champions.
“Each game is tough now, there is more pressure. You just keep yourself in the race and you just need to win."
“Southampton want points, they want to stay in the Premier League, so they’ll fight for their life also. We have to win each game," Salah concluded.
