Former Liverpool defender Steve Nicol has expressed concerns about Mohamed Salah's current form.

The Egypt international has failed to find the back of the net in eight appearances for the Reds and Nicol believes the 26-year-old's "head has gone".

“His head has gone," Nicol told ESPN FC.

“And he shouldn’t say he’s had a bad season because he hasn’t had a bad season. He’s had a bad second part of the season.

“As good as he was in the first part of the season, he’s been as bad in the second.”

Salah has scored 17 goals in 32 English Premier League appearances for Liverpool this season, but has only netted once in the league since January.

Liverpool currently top the English Premier League standings by two points.
