Zamalek will be aiming to build on their momentum in the Caf Confederations Cup when they take on Hassania Agadir in a first-leg quarter-final clash at Stade Adrar in Agadir on Sunday.
Kick-off is at 21h00 CAT.
The White Knights recovered from a slow start in the competition by claiming seven of their nine points in their last three group stage fixtures. Zamalek failed to win any of their first three games, but wins over Petro de Luanda and Gor Mahia helped the Egyptian giants to the top of Group D.
Zamalek finished level on points with Gor Mahia, but advanced as group winners due to their superior head-to-head record versus the Kenyan champions. A mere two points separated the four teams in the group.
Hassania Agadir advanced to the knockout stages as Group A runners-up after finishing behind fellow Moroccan club RS Berkane. The group included defending CAFCC champions Raja Casablanca, who were duly knocked out after finishing third in the group.
HUSA scored a mere five goals in their six group stage games, and will need a better return if they are to beat their more illustrious opponents.
The second-leg will take place in Cairo on the 14th of April.
