Former Al Ahly forward Malick Evouna has backed the Egyptian giants to complete an improbable comeback in the Caf Champions League.
The Red Devils suffered a humiliating 5-0 defeat away to Mamelodi Sundowns at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Atteridgeville on Saturday, leaving themselves the almost impossible task of reaching the final four of this year's competition.
Themba Zwane, Wayne Arendse, Ricardo Nascimento, Gaston Sirino and Phakamani Mahlambi all found the back of the for the Brazilians, as they take a commanding quarter-final first-leg lead into he reverse fixture.
Evouna, though, remains hopeful that his former employers can turn the game on it's head in Egypt as Al Ahly aim to keep their hopes of a record-extending ninth CAFCL title alive.
"You must be well prepared mentally for this game back home nothing is impossible always @AlAhly," the Gabon international tweeted.
The second-leg is set to take place in Egypt this coming Saturday.
