Themba Zwane has been arguably the standout player in this season's Caf Champions League, but the Mamelodi Sundowns attacker is not resting on his laurels.

The 29-year-old has scored five goals in six games for the Brazilians, including the opener in a 5-0 thumping of Al Ahly in Atteridgeville this past weekend.

Zwane, though, is eager to improve his conversion rate in front of goal, admitting that he is guilty of missing chances in every game he plays.

"I think my confidence is high whenever we play in the CAF Champions League, but for me I must do more because normally I get three or four chances but only manage to get one," Zwane told KickOff.com.

"I feel for me I must get two or three goals [in a match]."

"I need to take responsibility. Obviously I am a senior player now, I need to take charge whenever I am on the field of play and try to help Hlompho [Kekana]," he concluded.

Sundowns will face Al Ahly in the second-leg of their quarterfinal showdown in Alexandria on Saturday.
