The Egyptian giants are trailing 5-0 on aggregate against the South African side ahead of Saturday's CAF Champions League quarter-final second leg-clash.
“We performed badly during the first game and we want to do our best to improve the way the team played against the South African giants in the first leg,” Lasarte said during the pre-match press conference.
“I got used to these difficult situations since I took charge of the team and the situation keeps repeating itself everytime we go through a rough patch.
“Football doesn’t handle promises and there are no surprises. All we have to do is respect the tactics and for the players to compensate what happened in the first leg,” he added.
“It was very important for us to work on improving mentally and retrieve the players’ confidence."
Record eight-time Champions League winners Al Ahly will host the 2016 champions at the Borg El Arab Stadium. Kick-off is at 18h00 CAT.
