Mohamed Salah revealed the reason behind his goal celebration following Liverpool's 2-0 win over Chelsea on Sunday.
The Egypt international continued to silence his naysayers with a long range thunderbolt that whistled past Blues keeper Kepa Arrizabalaga and into the roof of the net, as the Reds moved back to the top of the English Premier League standings.
“I am a yoga man! I do yoga and it just came into my mind," Salah told Sky Sports News.
The 26-year-old, who ended his goal drought with a superb solo effort against Southampton, reaffirmed his credentials with a goal that sent the Anfield faithful into absolute delirium.
He continued: "I don’t think. I just feel. Normally I shoot with the inside of my foot. But this one I decided, because it was far, to hit it with power. I was lucky the ball hit the net like that."
Liverpool moved two points clear of City who still have a game in hand, soon after the Citizens win away to Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park - the venue where it all came crashing down for Liverpool a few seasons ago.
Salah, though, is confident that City will drop points in their remaining games and that Liverpool will end their wait for a league crown this season.
“We just need to focus on our game and hope Manchester City will lose points,” Salah added.
“I did follow Man City to see the result, it can help us but also it can push us to perform better. You need to score, you can’t lose any points, I knew the result of Manchester City’s game.”
