Ghana international Jeffrey Schlupp is a major doubt for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Crystal Palace utility player confirmed on Twitter that his season ended prematurely duo to injury: "Unfortunately my season has come to an end a few weeks early due to an injury.
"Time to work hard and come back stronger ready for pre-season," he added.
It has yet to be confirmed whether Schlupp's ankle injury will rule him out of the upcoming showpiece in Egypt, but reports suggest he could face up to a month on the sidelines.
Schlupp, 26, has enjoyed a good season with Palace in the Premier League. In total, the Ghana-born wingback scored four goals and assisted a further two in 30 league games this season.
The 2019 tournament kicks-off on the 21st of June.
The Black Stars were drawn in Group F alongside Benin, Cameroon and Guinea-Bissau.
