Napoli’s Senegalese centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly has once again shrugged off speculation linking him with a move away from Stadio San Paolo.
The 27-year-old French-born player continues to be linked with a big-money transfer at the end of the 2018/19 season, with English giants Manchester United the team most strongly touted as a possible destination.
However, Koulibaly has refused to be drawn on what his future holds, instead insisting that his focus is on performing for Napoli.
“The future? I am a Napoli player and I will give one hundred percent to win something with this shirt,” said the defender.
“The market is full of talk. I prefer facts, which then help us win and become great together."
Napoli’s hopes of winning Italy’s Serie A title officially ended on Saturday when Juventus mathematically secured top spot on the log.
Koulibaly has been on Napoli’s books since 2014 and his contract with the club runs to the end of June 2023. He has also represented Metz and KRC Genk in his senior club career.
In addition, Koulibaly is expected to be a key member of Senegal’s squad at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations finals, where the Teranga Lions will play against Algeria, Kenya and Tanzania in Group C.
