Stars, Baroka in relegation six-pointer

Free State Stars and Baroka FC will meet for an Absa Premiership relegation six-pointer at the Goble Park Stadium on 24 April 2019, kick-off at 18h00.

Stars have won just one of their last six league matches, though a 1-1 draw away to Highlands Park on April 17 was enough to lift them out of the relegation playoff berth.

Ea Lla Koto have claimed 16 points from 13 home matches this season, with their last result as hosts a 4-1 win over AmaZulu in mid-March.

Baroka suffered a fourth loss from their last five league matches when they were beaten 2-1 at home by Mamelodi Sundowns on April 20.

Bakgaga have claimed 15 points from 13 away matches this season, with their last result on the road a 1-0 win over Kaizer Chiefs in early April.

In head-to-head stats, Baroka and Stars have met in five league matches since 2016/17. The teams have each racked up two home wins in the rivalry, while their meeting earlier this season at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in September 2018 ended in a goalless stalemate.
