Algeria's Baghdad Bounedjah is among three players shortlisted for Qatar's 2018-19 Player of the Year, according to BBC Sport.
The 27-year-old enjoyed a record breaking season in Qatari Stars League, netting an incredible 39 goals in 22 games as Al Sadd clinched the league title.
The club scored a total of 100 goals, losing just once on their way to league glory with Bounedjah's teammate Akram Afif contributing 26 goals to to the club's league total.
Afif and Duhail striker Almoez Ali complete the shortlist with the Qatari duo having played a huge role in leading the country to Asian Cup glory earlier thus year. Ali finished the tournament as top scorer with nine goals.
Bounedjah's 39 goals surpassed the previous record of 27 achieved by Brazilian Clemerson Soares in the 2007-08 season.
The winner will be announced at an awards ceremony in Doha later this month.
Bounedjah has scored nine goals in 21 appearances for Algeria.
