New Ghana international Alhassan Wakaso has extended his stay with his Portuguese club Vitoria Guimaraes.
The utility player signed a new two-year contract extension with Guimaraes, who are currently campaigning in the Primeira Liga.
Wakaso's initial contract expires at the end of the current campaign, but the club has since extended his stay.
The 27-year-old player is pleased to have signed a new contract with the former Taça de Portugal champions.
"Guimaraes is like a home for me, has been great playing here and I am so happy to continue.
"I will always give my best for the club," Wakaso said on Ghana Soccer Net.
Wakaso has been one of Guimaraes' key players this season having made 27 appearances and scored two goals.
The Tamale-born player recently made his debut for Ghana in a friendly against Mauritania at the Accra Sports Stadium.
