SuperSport United will look to bounce back from a midweek Absa Premiership defeat when they host Bidvest Wits at Lucas Moripe Stadium on 27 April 2019, kick-off at 18h00.

SuperSport’s five-game unbeaten run came to an end in Durban on April 24 when they were beaten 2-0 by AmaZulu. It was the Tshwane side’s first loss since late February.

Matsatsantsa have claimed 24 points from 13 home matches this season, with their last result as hosts a goalless draw with Polokwane City in mid-April.

Wits claimed a third win from their last four league matches when they defeated Black Leopards 3-1 at home on April 24, with goals from Simon Murray, Deon Hotto and Elias Pelembe.

The Clever Boys have claimed 27 points from 13 away matches this season, with their last result on the road a 1-0 win at Chippa United in mid-April.

In head-to-head stats, SuperSport and Wits have met in 53 league matches since 1990. The Clever Boys have claimed 18 wins compared to 17 for Matsatsantsa, while 18 matches have been drawn. The Tshwane team has claimed nine home wins in 26 home league matches in the rivalry, suffering nine defeats in the process.

When the teams met earlier this season, at the Bidvest Stadium in August 2018, SuperSport claimed a 1-0 away win thanks to a second-half strike from Evans Rusike. The teams have not played to a draw in their league meetings since the second half of the 2013/14 season.

SuperSport’s line-up from their 2-0 loss to AmaZulu on April 24: Williams, Nhlapo, Daniels, Kekana, Bhasera (Lungu76'), Furman, Webber (Mokoena 59'), Modiba, Lebese (Rusike 59'), Grobler, Macuphu.

Wits’ line-up from their 3-1 win over Leopards on April 24: Goss, Hlatshwayo, Nonyane, Mkhwanazi, Hlanti, Hotto, Monare, Alexander, Pelembe, Motupa (Lakay 71' [Mhango 80']), Murray (Domingo 64').
