Partey linked with United switch

Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey has emerged on Manchester United's radar ahead of what is expected to be a busy transfer window ahead of the 2019-20 season.

United are likely to lose Ander Herrera at the expiry of his contact come the end of the season with Paris Saint-Germain tipped as his most likely suitors.

And according to Mercato365, Partey could replace the Spanish midfielder at Old Trafford.

United's crosstown rivals Manchester City are also said to be interested in the Ghana international who is still contracted to the Wanda Metropolitano-based club until 2023.

Partey, who has been a regular for Atletico this season, has scored three goals and assisted a further six in 39 appearances across all competitions.

He is set to play a starring role for Ghana at the upcoming 2019 Africa Cup of Nations where the Black Stars will be eager to end their finals curse with a first continental championship since 1982.
