Former Arsenal head coach Arsene Wenger has lavished praise on Liverpool star Mohamed Salah, describing the Egypt international as one of the world's best players.
Salah has continued to impress for the Reds following a debut season that yielded the PFA Player of the Year award.
Despite missing out on a place in the PFA Team of the Year this season, the 26-year-old currently leads the race for the English Premier League golden boot with 21 goals in 36 appearances.
Salah joined Liverpool from Roma in 2017 and has played a key role in transforming the Reds into league and Uefa Champions League contenders.
“Mohamed Salah is a fantastic player. He blossomed at Liverpool after being already very good at Roma. You have to give credit to Liverpool, with many clubs on the market and be able to sniff a player like him, shows that they did very well,” Wenger said on BeIN Sports.
“He is a sensational player. He fell a little bit after the World Cup until the past few weeks, he managed to come back to his best and he is one of the best players in the world right now.”
Salah has scored 69 goals in his first 100 games for Liverpool.
