Highlands Park will look to break their winless run in the Absa Premiership when they host Bloemfontein Celtic at Makhulong Stadium on 4 May 2019, kick-off at 15h00.

Highlands have gone three league matches without a victory after they were beaten 2-0 at home by Polokwane City on April 27. It was the Tembisa-based side’s seventh loss of the campaign overall.

The Lions of the North have claimed 23 points from 14 home matches this season, recording six victories, five draws and just three defeats.

Celtic picked up a second straight win – featuring a second successive decisive goal from Ndumiso Mabena – when they defeated Kaizer Chiefs 1-0 at home on April 27.

Phunya Sele Sele have claimed 19 points from 14 away matches this season, with their last result on the road a 2-1 victory over Polokwane City on April 24.

In head-to-head stats, Highlands and Celtic have met in three league matches since 2016/17. Their first two meetings in the 16/17 campaign both ended in draws, while their clash in Bloemfontein earlier this season saw the Lions of the North claim a 2-1 away win thanks to goals from Mothobi Mvala and Peter Shalulile.

Highlands’ line-up from their 2-0 loss to Polokwane on April 27: Heugh, Fransman, Ramoraka (Williams 65'), Mokoena, Motsepe, Mbatha (Shongwe 59'), Mbunjana, Mahlangu, Ndoro (Nyembe 59'), Mkhabela, Shalulile.

Celtic’s line-up from their 1-0 win over Chiefs on April 27: Tignyemb, Letlabika, Mahashe, Rikhotso, Sam, Masuku, Phalane, Baloyi (De Jongh 85’), Dlamini (Potsane 77’), Maema, Mabena (Mabaso 90’).
