Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly has been named the best defender in the Italian Serie A for the 2018/19 season.

Koulibaly, 27, has been superb for Napoli once more throughout the course of the campaign, with his exploits rewarded as he was named in the Team of the Season for the fourth straight season.

The Senegal international has scored two goals and assisted a further two in 35 league appearances for the club this season - with one game remaining.

Koulibaly's exploits has attracted attention from several clubs across Europe with Manchester United having previously seen their approach rejected by the club.
