Souleymane Coulibaly has joined Etoile due Sahel on a free transfer after leaving Scottish second division side Patrick Thistle at the expiry of his contract.
The 24-year-old's move, though, is surrounded by controversy and KingFut.com report that former employers, Al Ahly, have released a statement warning the forward that if he fails to pay his fine by 24 June he will be banned by FIFA from all football related activities.
Coulibaly left Al Ahly to return to Scotland a mere four months into his contract back in June 2017, resulting in the Red Devils issuing a complaint to the world football governing body.
The former Ivory Coast youth international has to reportedly pay a fine of $1.4 million, and if he fails to do so he won't be allowed to play for any other club.
Coulibaly scored six goals in 12 appearances for the record eight-time Caf Champions League champions before fleeing Egypt.
This past season, he managed a mere 82 minutes of football.
