Uganda captain and goalkeeper Denis Onyango expects great benefits from the team's training camp in United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The training camp will further prepare the Cranes for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) finals in Egypt.

All the players and officials on board reached safely before checking in at Park Rotana Hotel in Abu Dhabi.

"The players have trained well in Kampala for two weeks to boost the fitness levels," Onyango said.

"I believe the camp in Abu Dhabi will further help the team and polish us up.

"Also, the weather will be a great deal for acclimization just like the weather in Egypt."

The group was also joined by Egyptian based striker Derrick Nsibambi while in Abu Dhabi.

They are expected to conduct their opening session on Tuesday.

Ugandan are in Group A alongside DR Congo, Zimbabwe and tournament hosts Egypt.
