Ghana international Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu is only focusing on Udinese after returning from a long-term injury.

The defensive midfielder captained Udinese as they defeated Cagliari 2-1 in their final Italian Serie match on Sunday.

Badu, who was not included in Ghana's 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) squad, is already looking forward to next season.

"I am a little excited. It has been a difficult eight months for me after this bad injury," Badu said on Ghana Soccer Net.

"Now I am much much better, I have played almost ninety minutes.

"I just have to thank the company, which has always been with me, with this injury," he added.

"Now I have to go home, get some rest, and then come back: we hope for a good championship next year.”

Badu, 28, has over 70 Ghana caps and he represented his country at the 2010 and 2012 AFCON finals.
