Egypt assistant coach Hany Ramzy says they are monitoring Paris Saint Germain (PSG) midfielder Omar Yaisien and LB Châteauroux forward Haissem Hassan.

The Egyptian national team’s coaching staff are looking to bring in new faces into the Pharaohs squad ahead of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) finals.

Yaisien, 19, featured for French Ligue 1 champions PSG in the UEFA Youth League games this past season, while Hassan, 17, plays for Chateauroux in the French Ligue 2.

“I am always interested in Egyptian talents who hold dual citizenship and are playing in Europe. I tried before to convince Stephan El Shaarawy to represent Egypt in 2010,” Ramzy said on King Fut.

“These young talents are very important because they could help the national team in the future. I will propose their names to Javier Aguirre as well as Egypt U-23 team coach Shawky Gharib.”

“The priority right now, however, is for the experienced elements in Egypt in order to achieve the AFCON title.”

Egypt will host the 2019 AFCON tournament between June 21 and June 19.
