Lesotho & Zimbabwe battle for third place

Lesotho will take on Zimbabwe in the 2019 COSAFA Cup third-place play-off match on Friday.

Kick-off is at 19h30 CAT.

The encounter is scheduled to be played at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in the South African city of Durban.

Likuena are coming off a 2-1 defeat to Botswana in a semi-final match which took place in Durban on Wednesday.

Lesotho are now looking to finish third in the regional tournament by securing a victory over Zimbabwe.

Tshwarelo Bereng and Sera Motebang are Likuena's key players and they will be keen to help their side win.

Meanwhile, Zimbabwe were beaten 4-2 on penalties by Zambia following a 0-0 draw in a semi-final match which took place in Durban on Wednesday.

The Warriors were hoping to win their third consecutive COSAFA Cup title, but they are now eager to finish third.

Khama Billiat and Knowledge Musona are the Warriors' key players and they will be looking to help their team defeat Lesotho.

The last time Lesotho faced Zimbabwe was on the 6th of June 2018.

Zimbabwe won 3-1 on penalties following a 0-0 draw in the 2018 COSAFA Cup semi-final clash.
