Liverpool have reportedly ended their pursuit of Ivory Coast international Nicolas Pepe.
The Reds are among several clubs rumoured to be interested in signing the Lille attacker, but according to the Evening Standard, the Reds have no intent on adding the 24-year-old to their roster for the 2019/20 season.
According to the report, Liverpool head coach Jürgen Klopp is only looking to make small adjustments to his squad following a season that yielded Uefa Champions League success.
Pepe scored an impressive 22 goals in 38 French Ligue 1 appearances last season, chipping in with an additional 11 assists as Lille finished second on the log standings.
Pepe's future will likely only be decided following Ivory Coast's participation in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Elephants have been drawn in a group alongside South Africa, Morocco and Namibia. The continental showpiece gets underway in Egypt next Friday.
