Zimbabwe international Tendayi Darikwa believes that the Warriors can reach the knockout stages of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) finals.
The Southern African side finds itself in Group A alongside Uganda, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and tournament hosts, Egypt.
The England-based defender Darikwa is looking forward to the tournament which will be held between June 21 and Jully 19.
"We want to try and get out of the group first and foremost. We don’t know how far we can go in the tournament," Darikwa told The Herald Zimbabwe.
"But the main aim is to go there and perform well, and if we do that, I believe we can go into the latter stages.
“It’s a huge tournament, some of the greatest-ever players have played in the Nations Cup in previous years and they still do so today," he added.
“It is a huge opportunity for all of us players and staff, so we want to go there and just see how far we can get.”
Darikwa is on the books of English Championship outfit Nottingham Forest.
