Namibia head coach Ricardo Mannetti says his side is ready for their 2019 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) opening match on Sunday against Morocco.
The Namibian tactician is confident that the Brave Warriors will surprise Africa following a perfect camp in Dubai, Qatar recently.
The Brave Warriors are the underdogs of the “Group of death”, Group D that consists of South Africa, Ivory Coast and Morrocco.
"The camp in Dubai was perfect for us with the hot conditions and also helped us from a mental point of view to balance our preparations ahead of the finals," Mannetti said.
"We are the least expected team to win and that gives us the drive to do extra more and we are prepared to do that.
Mannetti adds that his team will set the tone for this campaign with a good showing against Morrocco on Sunday," he added.
“The Ghana match gave us a lot of confidence going into the Morocco match and we are positive that we will be able to surprise Africa.
"We can’t wait for the game to start so that we can continue to live the dream. Our first goal is to win our first match at AFCON and then the sky is the limit."
Egypt will host the tournament between June 21 and July 19.
