Egypt international Nabil Emad has stressed the importance of having Mohamed Salah in the national team.
Salah was introduced in the second-half as the Pharaohs defeated Guinea 3-1 in a friendly match recently.
The Pharaohs used the game as preparation for the upcoming 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) finals.
“I thank god for the performance and the result. It was a tough game against a strong national team,” Emad told Time Sports.
“We benefited a lot from the Guinea friendly, we performed well and we achieved a positive result.
Liverpool FC star Salah grabbed two assists against Guinea's Elephants for Egypt, who are coached by Javier Aguirre.
“Aguirre told us about the opponent’s strength and that the game was going to be tough, which was the case," he added.
“Salah is the national team’s symbol, actually the whole country’s. Everyone is happy with his presence.
“Salah performed really well against Guinea and god willing we’ll win the AFCON,” he concluded.
